Beginner Class (Monday nights)
Get your hands in the dirt and experience the joy of growing your own vegetables!
The Beginner Gardening Class is designed for individuals and/or families - with little to no previous gardening experience - interested in learning about the wonders of sustainable, organic gardening in a supportive, hands-on and community-based environment. Supplies such as seeds, seedlings, fertilizer, gloves, hand tools, & sunshine are provided.
Classes are held at our Pine Street location.
Dates and Time:
April 10, 17, 24, May 1, 8, 15, 22, June 5, 12, 19, 26 and July 10, 17, 24; 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Pine Street Farm location.
Full Bed: $415 (12 feet x 4 feet)
Half Bed: $320 (6 feet x 4 feet)
Donations accepted to subsidize the cost for low-income participants!
Learn from a professional gardening class teacher who will provide weekly instruction
Learn about organic/sustainable gardening practices
Use raised gardening beds with integrated irrigation and an idea sunny location
Get access to the farm, your garden bed, and class tools so that you can tend to your garden during off-hours
Use the class bed for the entire 2021 growing season, usually through mid-October
Enjoy fresh herbs from the Farm's herbal garden throughout the growing season for free

Please note: If you choose not to maintain your bed after the end of the class session then your bed will be harvested and use for our Food Access Programs
