What We Do
Learn - Grow - Give
Visitors, volunteers and class participants learn about sustainable farming practices and food justice. From crop succession to pest control to trestling techniques, our farmer teaches us what we need to know to keep our beds producing from April to November.
We grow organic produce. Lettuce, spinach, peas, tomatoes, beets, turnips, potatoes, herbs, etc...
We donate our produce to our Needham neighbors. Free. On Tuesdays and Saturdays, produce is harvested by volunteers under the guidance of our farmer.
On Saturdays, all the produce is donated to the Needham Community Council Food Pantry.
On Tuesdays, some of the produce goes to the Food Pantry. The rest is refrigerated until the evening, then distributed at our Mobile Markets at Needham Housing Authority sites.
