About the event
What is Forest Therapy/What to Expect?
Forest therapy is a practice of immersing ourselves in the restorative natural environment (typically for a few hours). It’s not a strenuous hike or a naturalist walk; this practice is simply about slowing down and being present without the need to “do” anything. We’ll slowly meander, participating in a series of sensory based invitations, and then come together as a group to share. This practice is inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku, or “forest bathing,” with many research-backed physical and mental benefits.
